GLSL Studio App Reviews

Great program!

Well worth the money if you like editing shaders whenever.

Excellent app!

Great for learning the open gl shader language and very easy to use. Wish the text editor had an undo feature, but all in all great work!

good

good to leaning shader.

Absolutely brilliant!

Thank you very much! This IPhone shader toy is what I need!

Raise your prices!

I would have paid $9.99 for this. At least. Seriously, youre leaving money on the table.

Having something like this on device is awesome

This app is too cool, easily worth the $2 just to play around with and test ideas out.

Very well done

This is an amazing app, and a steal for $1.99! Easily worth it just to play around, but the sheer awesomeness of being able to do this all in an easy to use GUI, anywhere I go is pretty cool. Havent noticed any bugs yet. A few nitpicks- I know the swipe horizontal to delete trick, but many users dont. Maybe implementing an edit button to be able to toggle editting on the table view of things such as attributes or uniforms would be a good idea.

Best thing since sliced bread!!!

This will be amazing once I get an iPad, but for now its perfect.

Finally! An iPhone code editor with syntax highlighting!

This is an excellent iPhone app, allowing me to test shader techniques on the go. But the best part about it is that it actually has syntax highlighting, something other code editors on iOS seem to neglect. Sure, it blurs when you type, but it is worth it for the readability for the code you type. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that it does not have a blank template, you can only "clone" the shader projects in the app. Also, it does not have key shortcuts, like curly braces and brackets, that other code editors have. This is a great editor, and it is well worth the $5 that I payed for for missing the launch. :)

Great dev tool!

Finally a really fun and useful tool that lets you program, compile and run shaders on the iPad. Now you can tweak shaders on the same device you test time on. I highly recommend this app.

Theyve got to be kidding

I hate it!!!!!!

Too simple to be useful

A good idea, but definitely not worth buying.

This is a killer app

If you know what this app is used for you understand why it is so powerful. Any negative review of this app has got to be spam or left by someone who doesnt know what GLSL is used for. Easy to use, fast, and with great support. I gift this app to my friends who code, they love it. It is a perfect gallery for showing off my modeling and shading skills.

Shady Superstar!

This app was worth the amount paid for it within the first minute of use. Now I can enjoy the outdoors and still get something done. From a developer, rating a developing app, this thing is freaking awesome. Thanks so much! Keep up the good work.

A great learning tool

This is for aspiring and advanced graphics coders alike. Its a great way to explore the GLSL platform, with some really fun examples and inputs to help get you started and get your juices flowing.

Excellent

Great tool for designing shaders on the go!

Fantastic prototyping tool for shaders

Best tool Ive ever seen for playing with shader development, iPad or desktop. The only thing that I have found to be missing from it so far is the ability to define uniform arrays in the GUI.

Great idea, but no support from developer

I had a simple question that never got answered. I wouldnt mind that if there was some documentation online, but no luck. Let me know when someone posts how to add a cubemap and what formats the app supports.

Great, except for two things

All thats needed is a few small bug fixes, like a cursor glitch that occurs when a line of code is too long and a better way to make a new program. Other than that, this app is stellar. I highly recommend it.

Good way to experiment

GLSL can be sort of abstract to learn, but this app makes it pretty easy to just smoosh in some code and get real time results. The keyboard issues are annoying but this is easily the best option for playing around with quick ideas.
